Learning English

Unidad Educativa Felix Reyes Ortiz

The changes driven by the technological transformation are inevitable, they are here to stay and as teachers we must learn to use them to transform educational practices in the classroom and have greater student teacher interaction. As a teacher I can suggest using social networks such as the facebook. "It is possible to use Facebook for students to access information about their homework, to generate a debate about a topic exposed in class or to solve questions or problems that arise when you assign them an assignment" (Universidad Pedagógica, 2009, p.52). All young people already have an account, which is easy to access and easy to manipulate, where the teacher creates a specific account for the course and thus encourage them to participate, interact, have fun and share experiences with their peers, discuss a concern, debate a topic, share images with respect to the class "The rapid progress of information and communication technologies (TIC) will continue to have a profound impact on education, encouraging it to change the way knowledge is produced, acquired and transmitted" (Amaya and Amaya, 2010, p. 33). Ways of teaching and learning are today strongly impacted by the development of TICs. The great challenge for teachers is to learn how to learn".
